ENTREPRENEURSHIP

WHAT IS ENTREPRENUERSHIP? THE ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET

Everyone is an entrepreneur these days, and you know what I love it! I love how we are now stepping into our power and embodying our truth. It’s simply amazing to behold!

Being an entrepreneur has always been my dream (asides my career in fashion that’s still loading of course lol). I just love the freedom, value and satisfaction one gets from being able to take control of their life, embody everything they already are and create value for others while doing so. It’s the perfect combination of freedom, expression and creativity, basically everything I need to be happy.

So who exactly is an entrepreneur? What do they do? How do they do it?

WHO IS AN ENTREPRENEUR?
I personally like to think of entreprenuers as problem solvers cuz their main job is identifying problems and creating solutions to said problems. An entrepreneur is someone who is willing to put themselves out there by going against traditional systems and taking the risk to start a value based business.

WHAT DO THEY DO?
Entrepreneurs engage in a range of activities from developing, designing, producing, marketing, and selling. It just depends on what part of the value chain they decide to become a part of. They own and operate everything from small businesses to mega tech startups. Entreprenuers take the risk to develop new products or services and successfully bring these products and services into the marketplace.

HOW DO THEY DO IT?
Entreprenuers first off identify a problem, create a vision and then take steps to create the best possible solution that they can to that problem. They do this by bringing together all the necessary components of their preconceived vision or solution and mix them together artfully to create a value based offering.

THE ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET
So what does it take to be an entrepreneur you ask?
Well, in my opinion you’ll need to cultivate a bulletproof mindset to get you through all the hard times, and trust me, the hard times will come.

1. LETS THE PAST BE PAST
Avoid dwelling on situations and circumstances that have already past cuz you know what? They are past! Learn the lesson, forgive it and move on.

2. FLIPS THE SCRIPT
There’s no room to cultivate a victims mentality, it’s icy out in these streets! If life gives you lemons, you squeeze the hell out of them and make some refreshing detox drinks! It’s your story, you can change it if you want to.

3. PRACTICES GRATITUDE
They express appreciation for everything they’ve already been given and accomplished as opposed to focusing on what they haven’t.

4. SEES SOLUTIONS
Where there is a problem, there is always a solution. An entrepreneur does not join the bandwagon to bitterly complain about circumstances, but is adept at seeing it for what it is; an opportunity to provide a solution.

5. HAS A SHITLOAD OF FAITH
They believe in their vision regardless of whether it has manifested itself into their reality or not.

6. TAKES IT ONE STEP AT A TIME
They continue to take the steps, putting one foot in front of the other to make their vision come to life before their eyes.

7. VALUES & RESPECTS MONEY
They understand that money is energy and a tool they can utilize as a means to an end, and treat is as such.

8. KNOWS THEIR WORTH
They know who they are and will not hesitate to charge it and add tax cuz they’re just that confident in the value they are creating.

9. THINKS STRATEGICALLY
A goal without a plan is a wish. A plan without a strategy is bound to fail. They know that and understand the how, when, what and why of their operation and align things accordingly.

10. AIMS FOR SUCCESS
There are no limits where an entrepreneur is concerned, all they know is success is the goal and they are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

11. DOES THE WORK
They are not scared of putting in the work no matter how mundane or monotonous it may be. They understand that good things take time and the work may not always be fun but is essential to growth and progress.

12. DELAYS GRATIFICATION
They know and understand that the harvest is more enjoyable when it is ripe. They are able to wait patiently for that day.

Would you make a good entreprenuer? I’d love to know in the comments! Until next time.
