5 Reason You’re Broke

Having positive money mindset and coming from where I do, are two things that don’t really go together. We are so accustomed to the mindset of lack and this reflects directly in the quality of lives most experience. It’s almost as if people wear their poverty as a badge of honor. Worst part is I’m not even sure we’re aware of how minor but how impactful the way we interact with the concept of money is. Life was intended to be lived to the fullest and to be lived abundantly as well, so I’m here to bring to your awareness 5 of the reasons why your relationship with money isn’t what you’d desire it to be.

1. You are downplaying money.
Money is important, whether you want to accept it or not, whether you make it a priority or not. Like most things in life, it is what it is, and you really can’t do anything to make it different. Acknowledging this, I think it’s time to change the way we view and speak about money. Stop acting like money not a priority, stop telling urself it’s evil and you can get by without it. Stop saying and reinforcing things like “I can’t afford…” “I don’t have the money to…” “I’m always broke…” etc. Speaking like this feeds into that energy and you just end up creating more of what you do not want, (unless you do then by all means engage) and then spend your time wondering why you never have enough. It’s because truly you believe that you don’t. Whatever you send out to the universe, the universe will send back. It’s your mirror.
Moving forward, here a three easy practices you can work towards incorporating into your daily life that can help you with this:

– Visualize the amount of money you desire in your bank account. Now feel it, what does it feel like to have all that you need?

– Speak positive affirmations. What you say to yourself matters so so much. Stop self-sabotaging.

– Don’t pretend. Just imagine. Let your mind roam free.

2. You are chasing money.
If you chase money you will always be broke. Don’t try too hard, instead work towards making life better and creating value for others. We rise by lifting others. You are the money.

3. You want money for the wrong reasons.
What is your why?
I always say that intention is everything. Why do you want to be wealthy? What value is your wealth bringing to the collective? How is it furthering your life and that of others in your immediate environment? Do you want it to pursue self serving purposes? That just won’t fly, so evaluate your reasons.

4. Understand that money is fantastic, but it won’t make you happy.
Joy and happiness begin from the inside and then spill over to the outside. It begins with you and how you feel about yourself and your entire life experience. Doesn’t that make you feel empowered knowing that your happiness is in your hands? Allow yourself to be happy, create joy and find gratitude in your life. Learn the the value of money, but don’t let it rule your happiness.

5. You don’t understand your worth.
All of us have limiting beliefs that we may or may not even be aware of. Don’t limit yourself and live in a prison of your own creation when the universe is your playground. Understand that you are worth something just because. You don’t have to prove yourself or work your butt off to have value. Just as you are, perceived flaws and all. Invaluable. Hold on to that and don’t let anyone ever take that away from you.

Let these points sink in.
What points hit home with you? What points did I leave out? Let me know in the comments below. I hope that with these lingering in our awareness, we’ll be able to reevaluate our experience with money so far and see where we can make some positive forward moving change.

Yours truly,
Chalya.
